  Brooklyn Layoffs and Halt to Kingdom Hall construction projects

  a good source just just told me that at morning worship today that the governing body announced that a total of 1600 bethelites will be let get go and not transferred to warwich when the last property is sold in brooklyn and all kingdom hall building projects are on hold for at least a year so that all the focus will be on the preaching work.

  From Brazil:

  I knew of a congregation that had some land and build the Kingdom Hall this year. Announcement today: Current Kingdom Hall will be sold and there will be construction.

  In the same state, a work was in progress. Built walls and R $ 80,000 (approximately $ 20,000) on purchased building materials. Letter Branch: canceled work.

  All expansion works at Bethel in Brazil stopped.

  This is all so peculiar, odd yet interesting. This is just a complete 180 from May 2014 about that letter regarding the mortgage forgiveness then the constant lump sum to bethel each month. This was all for the ''supposed'' need of Kingdom Halls, but everything and everywhere is now at a halt? Yes very interesting.

  in my mind i see this as a very real situation developing rapidly world wide as these child molestation pay out become public knowledge and can no longer be denied or kept secret from the r&f.

  pretty soon the governing body will be the but of many jokes at headquarters and abroad.

  i just texted a very good remote worker friend, said i heard that there is a reduction in force coming at bethel and i hoped he wouldn't be affected.

  If this is true about the construction work being suspended, there is just no logic. The May 2014 letter about the loan forgiveness to the congregations, but to keep on sending a lump sum of money each month, now this?? Something seems very, very wrong with the Borg. That is if they are to keep on receiving millions from the congregations each month then only to suspend construction work. What gives??

  I don't know, but in the last 5 or so years, it's obvious the Borg is fighting to stay alive. I mean not 5 years ago the internet was so frowned upon. Now it seems all they do is push jw.org and live broadcasts. Overkill.

  I know this sounds mean, but I have a hard time feeling bad for people who've set themselves up to be screwed

  Hmmm, I thought about that maybe you're right. Secret Slave Class, good point too. The Bethelites seem to think very highly of themselves, noses high in the air like they're the upper echelon of society!!

  Yeah, I can't thank enough who provides these leaks. It really gives one a sense of what's on the radar such as ''we all must be ready to obey any instructions whether they may seem strategic from a human standpoint or not''. One can prepare themselves. Very, very much appreciated!!

  the chelmsford project in the uk has already come to a halt and every one has been sent home.

  the bethel family in london is to be cut by several hundred.

  my impression is that most ambitious youngster in the org dream of being involved with the building program.

  I'll agree it will be a slow hemorrhage of people leaving. You tend to see it talked about or shall I say mentioned with this past summers' Regional Convention releases. Such brochures such as ''Return to Jehovah'', has to make a person guess that the Borg knows there is a problem with apathy or something to that effect.

  There is no such mass exodus because of 2 big reasons and here is my theory;

  1)The shunning policy. The real threat of losing immediate family and friends who one may have had for 25 or 30 years.

  2)Mind control. Imagine being told you've been in the ''truth'' for 40,50 even 60 years. No matter what a person is told they just want to believe what they want no matter what. That's how hardened a person can become. That they just can't be told something otherwise.
